This summer was a lot of fun. In July, we got the chance to enjoy a full week of vacation at Lake Norman. We took some adult time, but also did some special things with Maela. We took our first (not last) trip to Lazy 5 ranch. It was so much fun. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, Maela or Bryan. Ha ha!! We took the wagon ride in lieu of driving through in our car. It was a good decision. There is no way I would want all those animals poking their heads into our car. Can you say slobber! We were able to feed the animals and get some good pictures. After our ride was over, we hung out at the petting zoo for a while and then finished off the special even with a McDonnalds cheeseburger!
Another day that week, we made a trip to North Lake Mall to Build-a-Bear. Maela was a little too young to build the bear herself, but that didn't stop her from making all the decisions on what animal she wanted and what clothes she wanted it to wear. In the end, we ended up with a very cute doggie named Moffy. She has pink flip flops and sunglasses to match her pink shorts. This trip was finished off with a big slice of pizza and a chocolate chip cookie. Maela was in heaven!
